Sunny beautiful morning, just arrived in El Chalten. After a quick check-in at the hotel I’m all set up for the hike to the Mount Fitz Roy. Very excited about the meeting this pearl of Patagonia.

…the weather changed! Nothing was left from the clear sky and the shiny sun before I reached the Fitz Roy vista point. The clouds covered the mountains, I had no hope to get to see the beautiful shaped Fitz Roy today. Igave it a last chance and climbed up higher. Got some friendlier light on the other side of the mountain, but still no chance to see the Fitz Roy. Well, bad luck! Have to get back to the town before it gets dark.
…next day.
I was on my way back home from the glacier climbing on Viedma, feeling a bit sleepy and tired in the bus. Again its grey and cloudy, seems the sun shines here only until early afternoon. Suddenly the bus stopped. We had a great view of Fitz Roy right in front of us, very dramatic shapes in that cloudy grey light. I felt lucky to get another chance to see this beautiful mountain range.
